GRIEF AND LOSS

Loss can be difficult.  We need to go through the normal grieving process.  Feeling these emotions is healthy and part of being human.

 

Sometimes these emotions can last too long, morph into depression, or can have a significant adverse effect on our lives.  This is when the normal grieving process is no longer healthy.

 

The feelings of sadness associated with loss should last around 3 months.  If these feelings persist, you may be suffering from a condition called Bereavement, when one is unable to get over the loss in a healthy way.
