SOCIAL ANXIETY

Some of our greatest fears arise from our insecurities of being around other people.  Most people experience some level of social anxiety from time to time, and the excitement of being around other people is a natural phenomenon.  However, when that excitement rises to the level of being debilitating, be must then start to look at getting help.

Pursuit of Happiness counselors understand that a person's greatest accomplishment can be the security of believing in oneself.  Sometimes all it takes is a light to shine on all the great things that we are so that we can break through the barriers of thinking that we are not good enough.

A good counselor will help the patient to discover what it is about themselves that can instill a sense of pride, and how to develop the sensibility of wanting to show those impeccable qualities off to the rest of the world.  A good counselor will also help their patient to develop an ability to focus on the task or issue at hand, rather than to focus inwardly.

Self reflection is natural and can serve to help develop ourselves, but when that self reflection becomes overly critical, we may find ourselves in a position where we shun the outside world.  A great counselor can help to break down these barriers, and help you to develop into and see the incredible person that you know you are.
